The excavators are heavy machinery and construction equipment, including a joint arm, a bucket and a rotating cabin (also called a chamber). The cabin is located above the chassis of the rubber wheel or chain wheel. A cable-mounted excavator uses winches and iron ropes to make moves. They are the natural evolution of steam shafts. All hydraulic implements and operations are carried out using hydraulic fluid, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motors. Due to the linear operation of hydraulic cylinders, their operation is fundamentally different from cable excavator.

There are different sizes of excavator. Some of the smallest excavator weight are about 930 kg, while some of the largest available excavator weight are about 979990 kg.
